Biography
Hi! I'm Christyna, a PhD student here at UIUC. I'm originally from Virginia and I got my bachelor's degree in geology at Utah State University (go Aggies!). My husband and I miss our mountains, but we love it here in Illinois. When I'm not doing homework or research, you can find me playing Animal Crossing or relaxing with a good book. Feel free to shoot me an email if you ever need to get in touch :)
Research Interests
My general area of interest for my research is seismology. I have a little bit of experience in active-source seismology, but one thing I'm super interested in is planetary seismology/general planetary geophysics. The project I'm currently working on involves studying focal mechanisms of marsquakes using data from NASA's InSight lander.
Education
